NHRA Rules state that I need no additional safety gear if I run slower than a 13.99 in the 1/4 mile. So because I have never drag raced my truck (and I dont think it will break a 14 second 1/4 mile), I think the first time will be with no helmet. But If I run faster than a 13.99 (100% stock), Three things will happen:

I wont do it again until I get a helmet (which will probably be a long while)

I will be incredibly surprised and proud of my little ranger.

I will frame the drag slip and hang it on my wall.

I think I'll do it without the shell to be honest.

Your truck should produce 16-17 sec 1/4 times, providing you get a good launch and can row those gears well.

Been there, done that. It's a moment of pride when they kick you off the track for no helmet ;)

(And no, your stock ranger won't be in the 13s)

Bandimere is at about 5,800. Knowing Denver's ever-increasing skills, I think he could probably get into 17 by the end of the day.
